"About Megan Reznicek" text in black on white background

To me, photography has always been a tool for connection, clarity, and joy. If I feel it in the day with you and your people, you'll feel it in the images.

I notice the small things. The way hands reach. The way light catches. The way people soften when they feel safe. I've also pinned a boutonniere, taught the groom how to tie a bowtie, and handed a photographer my lens when theirs broke mid-wedding. I'm confident in what I do, so I be kind and direct when something needs to get done.

When I'm not photographing weddings, I'm tending to my bees in Sunshine Canyon, teaching yoga, or climbing Mount Sanitas with my fiancé, Patrick and our dog Shimmy.

My journey started in a Vermont summer camp darkroom, where I first experienced the magic of shaping light, emotion, and story through film. That moment never really left me.

I'm a RISD graduate with over a decade of experience across editorial, commercial, and fine art photography. I've worked globally, helping mission-driven brands tell their stories through compelling visuals, from Uganda to Bolivia to Boulder. I know how to read a room, lead with ease, and capture the essence of a moment, whether it's unfolding in a studio, a remote village, or a ceremony in golden hour light.

My entrance into wedding photography was a happy accident. When a friend's photographer canceled last minute, I stepped in, and something clicked. Since then, weddings have become the place where all of my skills converge: design thinking, artistic clarity, calm leadership, and a quiet attunement to the emotional undercurrents of the day.

More than just Wedding Photography!

Megan is also a beekeeper with hives nestled in the Colorado mountains. For over 9 years, she has been tending bees and learning from their quiet wisdom about teamwork, patience, and the magic that happens when everything works in harmony.

This isn't just a hobby: it's woven into everything she does. A portion of every wedding photography package goes directly to pollinator protection, funding habitat restoration and conservation efforts. Your love story literally helps save the bees.

Every couple receives a jar of raw, unfiltered honey from my hives on the Boulder Flower Farm as a sweet reminder of your wedding day and the positive impact your celebration made.
